HP charging port and DC jack repair
Laptop not charging, charging only when the cable is held at an angle, or a loose USB-C port: we replace HP DC jacks and charging ports.
What’s it doing?
| Symptom | Usually means |
|---|---|
| Charges only at an angle | The DC jack or its solder joints are worn. Many HP models have a separate jack on a cable; older ones are soldered to the board. |
| Not charging at all | Could be the charger, the jack, the charging circuit or the battery. We test each one. |
| USB-C port loose | The port is replaced on the board, or on the daughterboard where HP fitted one. |
| “Plugged in, not charging” | Often the battery or the charger’s ID pin, not the laptop. |
Use only an HP charger with the right wattage. Low-power USB-C chargers can make a laptop report “slow charger” or stop charging under load.

Most repairs take one to three working days once the part arrives. We order the exact part for your model and product number.
Do you give a price first?
Yes. We diagnose the laptop and tell you the price before any repair. Nothing is done until you agree.
Is my data safe?
A repair doesn’t wipe your storage. If we ever need to reinstall Windows, we copy your files off first and check them with you.
