HP laptop overheating and fan repair
Loud fan, hot underneath, slowing down or switching itself off: we clean HP cooling systems, replace fans and renew thermal paste.
What’s it doing?
| Symptom | Usually means |
|---|---|
| Fan very loud | Dust in the fan and heatsink, or a worn fan bearing. |
| Switches off during games or video | Overheating protection. Common on OMEN, Victus, Pavilion Gaming and ZBook models. |
| Fan error at start-up | HP shows “The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly”. The fan is replaced. |
| Hot palm rest, slow laptop | Thermal throttling. A clean and fresh thermal paste usually fixes it. |
Gaming laptops benefit from a clean every year or two. We use quality thermal paste and replace thermal pads where HP fitted them.

Questions
How long does it take?
Most repairs take one to three working days once the part arrives. We order the exact part for your model and product number.
Do you give a price first?
Yes. We diagnose the laptop and tell you the price before any repair. Nothing is done until you agree.
Is my data safe?
A repair doesn’t wipe your storage. If we ever need to reinstall Windows, we copy your files off first and check them with you.
